Self-Employment Support Measure

The Self-Employment Support Measure (SESM) program helps you create your own business or become self-employed. As such, you could get financial assistance to develop your business plan and start your business, or create your job.

Eligibility Criteria

In order to receive help, your project:

• must be viable;
• must meet a need of the area;
• must not compete unfairly with similar businesses within the same territory.

Who is this program for?

To be admissible, you must be in one of the following categories:

• Receive unemployment insurance;
• Receive social aid;
• Be unemployed and without public income support;
• Be a worker with an insecure status.
